About our Organization

We decided about two years ago to start The Goodman Family Giving Center Inc. This is a non-profit organization that was established because we could see a drastic need that was not being address by any other group.

Goodman Family Giving Center, Inc. requests your financial support to aid the organization's work of renovating bathroom facilities for Arizona's disabled, elderly and disabled veterans. It is this organization's work to create a clean, safe and healthy bathroom environmment to improve the well being of our handicapped and disabled, and improve their quality of life.

The reason behind this effort is that as we entered homes and gave bids on bathroom work we found that many people needed the work done, but could not afford to have it done. The homes we found this to be most prevelent in was those of the elderly that are living on a fixed income. Individuals who had suffered injury or illness and had depleated their financial support and now were left to try and care for themselves. We found this to also be very true in the homes of those great men and women that serve our country by fighting against terrorist abroad . Many of those great men and women are now in need of help from us. Many of them suffer from disabilities caused from the service they gave to our country.

We tried to find a service that would help us supply those in need, but there is none. This kind of service is not available to those who are suffering within the walls of their individuals home. Many times it even appears that the environment they are required to survive in is causing the disability to be more severe . But because they have no other choice they are having to live in less that sanitary, safe and healthy situations.

So we, as a family decided that we wanted to do something to help. We started the process to establish a non-Profit organization to benefit these persons. This process involved a couple years and some expense, but we feel that it is of great value and is very much worth the time and investment. We hope you will feel the same and consider this necessity as important as we do.

Thank you.
The Goodman FamilyGiving Center, Inc.

We Use Only Solid Surface Materials.

In our bathroom renovations we only use solid surface materials. The reason for this is that the other common bathroom/tub/shower materials are porous and create an environment for bacterial growth. Our main products that we use are an Acrylic material, which is a nonporous solid surface product that will discourage the bacteria by never allowing it a place to start growing. It is made of a Cross-Linked Duracast Acrylic, which is the strongest and thickest acrylic available on the market today. The jobs that are done using these products will last a lifetime and come with a lifetime warranty. This is of great importance to our Foundations, as it shows that we stand behind our products and our services.

There are other solid surface materials on the market as well and at times they are the best choice for us to use. It is a manufactured Marble, and the Shower floors we make out of this product can be cut down to a barrier free style shower pan, making it possible to accept the access of a wheel chair or a walker. We also build benches and seats out of this material to allow safe, strong seating for people to set on during the bathing process.
We also offer a product called Granitex. It has the same characteristics as the marble but comes in different colors and looks more like granite.
We also only install handicapped toilets. These are a bit taller than the standard size, which makes it easier for a disbled person to use it safely. The height is also easier for those that will be going from a wheelchair to the toilet. Our grab bars are installed along side the toilet for extra safety and ease of use for those needing this renovation .
We also install wheelchair accessible cabinets when needed, so individuals can use the bathroom sink to wash up after using the restroom. The cabinet allows the wheelchair to go under the counter and sink top to give the most comfort and safty.

Walk-Thru Inserrt.

EASE OF USE: The Walk-Thru makes entering the bathtub easy and painless by lowering the barrier to entry.

SAFETY: Reduces bathroom injuries and may saves your life by lowering the step into the shower for easier access to the shower.

CONVENIENCE: The Walk-Thru is installed in less than a day with no mess or demolition.

By converting a bathtub into a Walk-Thru shower, you reduce that awkward barrier to entry that seems like a mountain to aging loved ones and makes it an easy step into the shower. Many bathroom accidents for elderly people come from loss of balance while trying to step over the side of their bathtub. A small investment into a Walk-Thru Insert will return dividends of ease and safety.

The Walk-Thru Reduces Stress By Making The Shower Entry Easy
The average height of a bathtub is 14 to 16 inches (2 times higher than a normal step). For an aging person that is too high to step over and still keep one's balance. Handicap remodeling with the Walk-Thru lowers the side of the bathtub making the tub an easy entry shower that you or your loved ones can enter with ease.

The Walk-Thru Insert fits most bathtubs alleviating the need to remove the existing tub. Utilizing the original bathtub allows you to keep the walls, floors and plumbing intact - saving you literally thousands of dollars over conventional remodeling. The Walk-Thru is installed in a matter of hours with no mess and no costly demolition allowing your loved ones to enjoy the ease of access to the shower immediately.
